The nurse I saw in MIU was friendly and professional. She was thorough when examining my foot. She explained what I had damaged and showed me a diagram on the wall and recommended that I take an inflammatory to ease the pain.

The service was not open on time. No one to check in with. I called the number who answered in Colchester and rang through to where I was waiting. The nurse was quick, did not clean the thermometer before or after use and did not offer an X-ray on my daughters fingers. Just felt couldn’t be bothered and wanted to get rid of us. It took a lot for me to take my daughter to the hospital due to nerves about covid etc and just did not think time or understanding was given

I was seen very quickly - within 30 minutes

Acoustics in the hospital (MIU) are not the best if you have poor hearing and /or wear hearing aids as I do. Additionally due to the pandemic, mask wearing presents its challenges with hearing as well. However, there is little that can be done about that.
